The person behind the projects

I’m James. I like making things work.

I’m a developer in Las Vegas with a love for building websites, photography, and useful little tools. This is where I share the work, the things I’m exploring, and the ways we can work together.

Why I do this

I like the
problem-solving
part.

I enjoy the point where a website needs to do something specific for the business. It might need a custom theme, a connection to another system, or a better way for the team to manage content.

The visual work matters to me too: how a page is arranged, how a product is photographed, and how all those details fit together. I enjoy moving between the front end and the systems behind it.

I enjoy working through those details with you. I’ll ask how things work now, explain the options, and help decide what is worth doing. Then I’ll build it and make sure you know how to use it.

After more than 15 years of web development, the projects I enjoy most are the ones where I get to stay involved and see the work become useful.

What you can expect

Direct communication.
Clear responsibilities.

01

You speak to the person
doing the work.

Questions, feedback, and decisions come directly to me. We keep the conversation connected to what your business needs.

02

You know what
we’re taking on.

We agree on the scope and priorities before starting. If something changes, we discuss the effect on time and cost first.

03

You have someone
to come back to.

As I learn your setup, it gets easier to plan the next improvement. Ongoing development gives that work a regular place in the schedule.

For your customers

Make the next step clear.

Explain what you do, help people find the right information, and make it straightforward to contact you or explore your products.

For your team

Make the daily work easier.

Give people useful editing tools, connect the information they need, and look for ways to reduce repeated manual tasks.

For what comes next

Leave room to grow.

Build a foundation that can take new content, features, and connections without turning every change into a rebuild.

Independent, with team experience

Comfortable owning the build.
Comfortable joining the team.

I’ve built sites from the ground up and worked alongside designers, backend developers, and marketing teams. That has meant custom theme development, translating designs into working pages, connecting services, and getting the site ready to publish.

If you’re a business owner, we can work directly. If you already have a team, I can take on a defined part of the development and fit into the way you work.

and the systems behind them.

I work with WordPress, Next.js, Shopify, and AWS, alongside custom plugins and API integrations. That includes NetX collections, Galaxy ticketing data, and business tools such as service alerts.

I bring three years of hands-on Next.js experience and a long history of custom website work. The platform choice starts with the project, the people managing it, and what it needs to do.

Photography is another part of how I like to build things. I’m interested in the product details, spaces, and everyday views that help tell the story of a business.

Away from client work, I enjoy camping. Home Assistant and Node-RED give me a different kind of problem to work on: lights that follow the sunset, timers, temperature monitoring, and alerts for coolers. I like seeing a small idea become something useful.
