Behind the finished pages

What the development
work involves.

Sometimes I build from the ground up. Sometimes I join a team with an established design and codebase. The responsibility is to turn the plan into something people can use.

01 / Interface

Make the design work.

Translate layouts into responsive pages, build reusable components, and work through navigation, forms, and the small states a static mockup cannot show.

02 / Themes & content

Build for the people updating it.

Develop custom WordPress and Shopify themes, structure templates and content, and make everyday changes practical for the team managing the site.

03 / Systems

Connect the pieces behind it.

Work with APIs, server-side services, and deployment workflows so the website fits into the business’s existing systems.

Working with your team
Independent projects

Built out of curiosity.

Personal projects are a place to try an approach, solve an everyday problem, and follow an idea further.

Custom tools & integrations

Useful work
behind the interface.

The website is often only the visible part. These projects connect data, publish collections, and help a team keep track of what is happening.

NetX APIWordPress plugin
From collection management to public display
NetX APILocal filesWordPress

What needed to happen

Content managed in NetX needed to appear on a website, with local images, a refresh process, and a different display for each collection.

What I built

A WordPress plugin that retrieves collection content through the NetX API, downloads images for local display, and updates a JSON file and associated files when the content is refreshed.

The implementation supports two collections, each with its own presentation.

Collection management stays in NetX. The website handles the public presentation.

Service information organized around the team
ServicesDepartmentsPeople

What needed to happen

People needed a shared place to check service status and a way to receive the updates relevant to their department or role.

What I built

A WordPress plugin that turns the homepage into a service status display. Administrators define the services, departments, and people who should receive notifications.

The settings account for department membership, individual preferences, and administrator choices. The display includes service states and uptime and downtime information, with a basic SMS integration.

One place to check what is happening, with control over who gets notified.
